Chute Middle School is excited to welcome award-winning authors Steve Sheinkin and Matt de la Peña on Monday, October 24, 2016! Fifth graders (from nearby feeder schools) and 6th graders will enjoy a presentation by Sheinkin, a former textbook writer who now writes award-winning history books for young adults. His most recent book, Most Dangerous,: Daniel Ellsberg and the Secret History of the Vietnam War won the YALSA Award For Excellence In Nonfiction For Young Adults. He is also the author of Bomb: The Race To Build And Steal The World's Most Dangerous Weapon, a Newbery Honor book which received the Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Award.
